During the use of an outdoor LED display screen, it is inevitable that there will be a bad LED, partial black screen, and other imagination. Generally, there are problems with the LED module. The following are five kinds of common outdoor LED display module failures and solutions listed by JDX for you:
1. LED module is dead led continuously or abnormal
—This phenomenon usually leads to a large area black screen of LED display.
Solution: check whether the row wire and power wire of the first abnormal module in the signal direction are in good contact. If the LED module is not on, it means there is no power input. Please check the power part (check with a multimeter). If there is a pattern (bright spot with color confusion), it means there is no signal input of the module. Please check whether the input end of the row wire of the first abnormal module is in close contact, can be unplugged and tested many times, if the problem still can be replaced by a new cable.
2. dead led maintenance
—If it is confirmed that the LED is damaged after inspection, the following maintenance methods shall be selected according to the actual demand.
- front maintenance: use a screwdriver to remove the screws from the front, remove the lower cover, and replace the led. After the sealing of the led and glue is completed, restore the original cover and tighten the screws. Finally, if there is glue left on the surface of the LED display, please carefully remove the glue.
- Back maintenance: use a screwdriver to remove the screws from the back (note and keep the screws), unplug the signal cable, for more safety, please do not unplug the power cable to prevent accidents, take out the module carefully, move it to the back of the box, and then carry out maintenance and led replacement for a single module according to the front maintenance method.
3. Change led
Remove the colloid around the damaged LED display with tweezers, clamp the LED with tweezers, contact the solder with soldering iron (the temperature is about 40 ℃), and make a little stay (no more than 3 seconds) to melt the solder, and remove the LED with tweezers.
Insert the new led into the hole of the circuit board, melt a little solder wire, stick it on the soldering iron, adjust the direction of the LED with tweezers, make it stable, weld the solder on the connection between the LED and PCB, and seal the LED with glue.
4. LED module is not light:
Check whether the power supply of the module is good, mainly check whether the power socket on the module is loose. If the color of the whole module is disordered or inconsistent (but there is signal input, there is a correct picture), it means that the signal transmission platoon is in poor contact, plug and unplug the platoon cable again, or replace the platoon cable with a new one. If there is still the same problem when replacing the new cable, please check whether there is a problem with the PCB interface.
