Why LED video wall Need Aging Testing?

Today, we will follow the JDX team to understand the aging problem of the LED video wall.

The aging test of the LED video wall is to identify the expected life of the quality of LED in a short time by imitating whether it will be abnormal in long-term operation. Also, it can pick out many hidden dis-function LEDs that can’t be picked out by conventional aging. It is an important guarantee for the reliability of LED display and an indispensable step for LED display manufacturing.

The aging of the LED video wall includes white balance aging (4 hours) and video aging (48 hours).

1. LED video wall aging test process

(1). Inspection

  • Check if all cabinet and modules installed correctly.
  • Check whether there is a short circuit or mixed connection in the electrical system.
  • Check whether the module is installed smoothly and the abutted seam is smooth.
  • Check if the appearance OK, to make sure no bumps or scratches.

(2). Aging

  • Turn on the display with the on-line control system.
  • Continuous testing time >72 hours.

(3). Index inspection

  • After enough aging test, the quality inspection department conducts the parameter index check.

2. Cautions for Aging Testing of LED display.

(1) . Test content: white, red, green, blue (single color), gray gradient, video effect, text effect.

(2) . The test time of white balance is ≥24 hours.

(3) . Test time of single color and the gray gradient is ≥24 hours.

(4) . The test time of Video and text effects is ≥24 hours.

(5) . The aging test must be attended by the staff so that the problem should be reported and fixed in time.
