How to moistureproof for LED screens?
For LED display screens, moistness will affect the normal operation of PCB, cause short circuits, damage the function and service life of screens. How to be waterproof and moistureproof is a problem to be solved for indoor and outdoor screens. JDX tech will take you to learn the moistureproof tips of LED displays, and you will not worry about rain.
1. LED module storage
- LED modules need to be stored in dry and ventilated, used pallets or other objects to pad up. Temperature and humidity monitor shall be installed in the storage environment, making sure the ambient humidity ＜60% RH.
- Unpacked products need to be repackaged and put in the proper desiccant. If the storage time of LED modules is more than 1 month, the brightness of the module shall be gradually increased and aging tests for 6 hours before use.
2. Moisture proof method of outdoor LED display
- Fix temperature and humidity monitor with screens, which could timely monitor the humidity around the screen.
- On the first rainy day or after heavy rain after screen installation, check whether there is moisture, water drop, water vapor and other phenomena in the interior in time.
- Under the environment humidity of 10% – 85% RH, open the screen at least once a day, working normally for >2 hours each time.
3. Indoor fixed screens
- Under the environment humidity of 10% – 65% RH, the display screen shall be opened at least once a day to ensure normal operation for more than 4 hours each time.
- If the ambient humidity is higher than 65% RH, dehumidification shall be carried out for the use environment of the screen, and the screen shall work normally for more than 8h every day.
4. Indoor Rental screen
- After each use, immediately put the screens into the flight case for sealed storage.
- Each flight case shall be equipped with a desiccant or moisture absorption bag of no less than 50g; the desiccant or moisture absorption bag shall be inspected for failure regularly and replaced every two months.
- Under the environment humidity of 10% – 65% RH, the display screen should be taken out every half month to light up (play video) for more than 2H.
- When the ambient humidity exceeds 65% RH, JDX Tech takes out and power on the screen (play video) for more than 2H every week.
- During the rental and use of the screen body, rain or water shall be avoided. If not, the screen body shall be wiped dry in time and blown dry with a blower. At the same time, the screen body shall be placed for 2h before power on for 2h.
